Smile Buttons

Let the world see your smile

Mask up? Check
Lovely smile? Double check

Everyone is masking up for their own safety and the safety of others to help stop the spread of COVID-19, but that means covering up one of the most expressive parts of your face!

Not going to lie – covering up facial expressions isn’t always a bad thing – but at the same time, when you DO feel like sharing a smile with someone, no one can see it, and that’s a shame. The solution? Smile Buttons!

Your beautiful smile is captured in a professionally taken headshot, and placed in an easily attachable button for all to see no matter what expression you’re making under your mask. And let’s face it – the world could use a few more smiles these days.

Bringing Smiles to Providence Hospitals

In early October, 1000 Words spent a few days at Providence Hospitals in Olympia and Centralia making over 500 smile buttons for all of their health care staff: doctors, nurses, students, security guards, entrance screeners, cleaning staff–everyone!

As one Pediatric Nurse told us – “These are SO necessary. Now my patients can see my smile again.”

Patients, colleagues, clients, friends, family–it’s nice to remind each other what our smiles look like again.

Let Everyone See Your Smile

“We are grateful that Mike came into our facility to create Smile Buttons for our caregivers.  His set up has a small footprint, fast turnaround, and the photos are excellent quality.  But the best part was the smiles it brought to the caregivers’ faces!  Everyone was appreciative, and we received lots of positive feedback.  During these new times of mandatory masking, this simple gesture means a lot to not only the caregivers, but also the patients they serve.”
